The Company

Sorrentino’s wine company; a story of passionate wine-making with unique characteristics: a family having viticul-ture in its DNA, a sunburnt ground fertilized with periodical lava flows from Vesuvio, the Mount Vesuvius, and a wine with legendary origins. Sorrentino’s Lacryma Christi and other great Vesuvian wines are like a story written by the hand of a fertile and violent Nature, that has gone on for decades thanks to an enthusiastic and tenacious family who knew how to support a territory so rich in precious fruits.
The present company’s owners inherited from their ancestors (whose experience ripened during the whole XIX Century) the love for Vesuvian wines and for their production. Paolo Sorrentino and his son Giuseppe received a rare gift from the past: devotion for the family’s land and vineyards, and a similar passion for the magical art of wine-making.
As a genetic heritage, the ancient wisdom, transmitted for generations, has linked the Sorrentino name to state of the art Vesuvian wines.
Over recent years, fascinating new chapters of this story saw the light at the foot of Vesuvio: it was time for the Sorrentino Company to receive national awards and recognition, and to make themselves appreciated in Europe and around the world. Now it is time for the most innovative wine-making technologies, a challenge set by the last generation of Sorrentinos and taken up by the latest.
Oenological production con-noisse-urs, passionate for Sorrentino’s jewels, Lacryma, Passito and the other great wines, grew from a little group, in the last century, to a great number, world-wide, in the present day. At the same time, even if the wine-making methods now use modern processes, the passion is still untouched.
